Transforming the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse Z71 with Paint Protection Film , Ceramic Coating and Window Tint
There’s something extra special about getting a brand new car, especially when it’s your first one in 14 years. This customer of ours we had recently was on cloud nine after picking up her new car, but she knew that keeping it in great condition would require a little more than regular washing. That’s when she brought it to us for Paint Protection Film (PPF), Ceramic Coating, and Window Tint. Here’s a look at why she chose these services and how they’ll keep her Traverse looking fresh for years to come.

Decontamination and Polishing
The first step in the process with this Traverse began with a thorough wash to cleanse its exterior from any dirt or grime. But we didn’t stop there. To ensure its pristine appearance, we carried out an Iron Decontamination process, followed by a thorough Clay Bar treatment and light machine polish.

Autobahn Incognito Protection Film – Driver’s Package
What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)?
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear, flexible layer that gets applied to your car’s paint to help protect it from things like scratches, chips, and paint oxidation. It’s usually made from a tough material like polyurethane and is pretty much invisible once it’s on your car. The film is self healing, meaning small scratches will fade away on their own over time when exposed to heat, like from the sun.
When getting your first new vehicle in 14 years you’re gonna treat it like a baby and want to protect it from anything that might cause damage to the paint over time. The best way to prevent against rock chips and scratches is with Paint Protection Film. With this Traverse having 18’ all-terrain tires the chances of rocks being kicked up are very high, especially with the front of the vehicle. This customer settled on our Drivers Package, which covers the Full Hood, Full Fenders, Headlights, Full Bumper, Mirrors, A-Pillars, Leading Edge of Roof, Lower Doors, Rockers Panels, and Behind Rear Wheels.

Ceramic Coating’s
What is a Ceramic Coating?
Ceramic Coating is a liquid polymer applied to the surface of a vehicle (or other objects including the interior, wheels, windows, etc) to create a protective layer that offers protection against many things including Paint Oxidation, UV Rays, Dirt, and Road Contaminants.
When the customer visited the shop, she mentioned something about a Ceramic Coating that the dealership had applied when she first purchased her vehicle. She explained how they had offered this service as an extra during the car buying process, and that it was marketed as a high end protective treatment for the paint. She also mentioned that she had paid a significant amount for it, which made sense given the dealership’s reputation and the promises made about the coating’s effectiveness.
As we went about washing the car, however, we started to notice something unusual. Typically, when a car is coated with a quality Ceramic Coating, water should bead up on the surface and roll off easily. It’s one of the most noticeable features of a properly applied ceramic coating the way it repels water and creates that hydrophobic effect. But in this case, as we rinsed the vehicle, the water wasn’t behaving the way we expected. Instead of forming those tight beads and sliding off the paint, it seemed to just sit on the surface, which made us question whether the coating was applied properly.
We fixed this problem by applying our Three Year Ceramic Coating which is done with GYEON’s Q2 MOHS. This is a high quality coating that’s meant to be durable and give you three years of hydrophobic properties, making your vehicle extremely easy to clean while still adding long lasting gloss and shine.
Glass/Window Ceramic Coating
A window ceramic coating for your vehicle is a smart upgrade that offers both protection and convenience. This means rainwater beads up and rolls off, improving visibility during wet weather and reducing the need for constant windshield wiper use.
Wheels off Ceramic Coating
Its simple, wheel coatings are a game changer. When applied, this protective layer bonds to the wheel’s surface, creating a shield against brake dust, road grime, and water. This makes cleaning a breeze and now you’re left with the look that everyone chases.
